Well, the existance of Black Jews kind of makes the whole 'Jews are a race' premise, on which so much of Zionist ideology and Israeli national character, fall down pretty hard. There is a fair amount of Racism directed towards the Ethiopian Jewish population, and often Ethiopian Jews have there applications for Israeli citizenship (which they are entitled to under the Law of Return) delayed or rejected for minior points.
