Does anyone have information on where his childtren are now, and what they are doing? I would be very interested in hearing about them.

I don't know much about his children, but I read somewhere that one of his Grandchildren is a musician. I'll try to find the link some time.

Aleida, his (eldest?) daughter has been touring the globe doing speeches, she was in Australia in July and very shortly she will be in Canada, she is also a paediatrician in Cuba.

How exciting, nezvanova! Please find that link. That makes me very happy to hear, seeing I am a music publicist and booking agent by profession. I definately would love to hear the music of his grandchild.

Ian Rocks, I would love to find out more about Aleida. I tried her first name ( and I would think, maiden name) in the search engine, but came up with nothing. Does she still go by her maiden name? I will follow my search a bit deeper.

Thanks Hugo and Red Fire. I also find it interesting his children went into the medical field as well. Was their mother a nurse as well? I really dont know any of the history surrounding how Che met his wife. I would assume it was while he was in medical school.

Che had one daughter named Hildita from his first wife. Hildita died at age of 39 of cancer in 1995.
Che has 4 children from his second wife [Aleida March]

1.- Aleidita or sometimes called Aliusha, born 1960, a pediatrician, who lives in Cuba.
2. Camilo born 1962
3. Ernesto, born 1965
4, Celia born 1963,. She works for a dolphin aquarium in Cuba.

I'm sorry, it's not the most informative link...i just happened to come across it a few weeks ago...it only breifly mentions that his grandson wants to be a musician.... "His grandson, son of his son by his first wife, Peruvian Hilda Gardea, is a teenager living in Cuba who dreams of becoming a rock musician"

Here's the link in case you have any interest in it...

Dr. Alieda Guevara March is coming to Ottawa to do a speech on human rights and the Cuban Five. She will be here on October the 5th. I believe somewhere on the Carleton Campus, becasue that school, although being run by a complete asshole who is too right wing for many to stomach, is highly active and the students are very leftwinged :D

I have a feeling she would never come to the US for a speech. I bet she travels the rest of the world!
I would love to see those transcripts myself! And a photo. Maybe there will be a news story link we can pick up as well.

Well the only information I have is a massive draft document, it might be available smaller soon but he is working on it, its like 49 pages of glossy images and stuff about the year to come in Canada...

Here is an excerpt:

Che Guevara’s daughter to tour Canada
speaking on Terrorism and Human Rights
Aleida Guevara March, daughter of Cuban hero Ernesto Ché Guevara, will be in Canada
accompanying and introducing the daughter of another Cuban hero. Irma González is the daughter
of René González, one of five Cubans now languishing in U.S. prisons serving terms up to double life
sentences.
The two week, twelve-city tour of these two Cuban women, commencing on September 28 in
Toronto, is organized by the Canadian Network on Cuba (CNC) in conjunction with Cuba solidarity
groups from Victoria to Halifax. Its purpose is to provide an informational base for the CNC’s campaign
to pressure the Canadian government to demand the release of the ‘Cuban Five.’
Their ‘crime’ turns out to be fighting terrorism – terrorism based in the United States! While the
U.S. government wages war against one specific form of terrorism abroad, it is tolerant and even
complicit when dealing with other types at home. Moreover, it severely punishes those who, on
behalf of Cuba, attempt to protect their nation from bombs in Cuban hotels and airplanes,
assassinations, biological warfare and other deadly actions initiated in the United States.
“We have to break through the news blockade in North America about the issues of human
rights and terrorism involved in this case,” said Nino Pagliccia and Marvin Glass, Co-Chairs of the
CNC, “and we are confident that the press conferences, public meetings, meetings with local, provincial
and federal politicians and with officials from trade unions and NGO’s will be successful in informing
Canadians about these important issues.”
Also present at some of the press conferences will be Montreal resident Livio di Celmo, whose
brother Fabio was killed by a terrorist bomb in a Havana hotel.

Please note: A comprehensive press kit dealing with the case of the Cuban Five and biographical
information on Aleida Guevara March and Irma González is also available. For further information,

González and Dr. Aleida Guevara March will tour
across Canada to bring public attention to the plight
of the Cuban Five, the five Cuban patriots unjustly
imprisoned in the United States. The tour is
sponsored by the Canadian Network on Cuba and
its affiliated groups and organizations. The tour
dates are as follows:
Toronto – September 29
Kingston – September 30
Ottawa – October 1-2

Vancouver – October 4
Winnipeg – October 5
Montréal – October 6-7
