Very very Intersting Study (http://www.globescan.com/news_archives/radar10w2_free_market/).

What I think is interesting to point out, that free Market capitalism may mean different things in different countries.

But US support for capitalism is dropping, so don't believe the media hype about the tea party (a bunch of 70 year old gullible people).

It's still 59%, while 41% people who reject free market capitalism is still fairly high for the home of the red scare. Also, I'll note that a lot of teepers on the ground, unlike their puppet masters, do seem to question FMC in terms of protectionism and the like, not that I'd expect them to say they don't support it even if they have no idea what it is.

For a country that spends billions an anti-socialist propeganda, and a country whos entire mainstream media entire policial process is bought and paid for by Wallstreet and Huge Corporations, for a country that teaches kids from first grade to the end that Capitalism is Magic and socialism is satanic, for a country that spends millions crushing unions and billions to pay its executives. THis is pretty damn amazing.

(its akin to in 1950, 41% of the people believing that Soviet Socialism was a bad system.)
