It seems like the world is getting tired of the Zionist pressure backed by the aggressive policies of the US. More and more countries and recognizing the rightful sovereignty and existence of the state of Palestine. With the looming vote in the UN on Palestine's declaration as a sovereign state this year, I am posing this thread a few questions. How will Israel and the US react to this highly probable passage of statehood? A US veto (or any security council member) is not valid in the case for statehood. With a renew gaza war looming, will Israel resort to desperate measures under its ultra right regime? Can Nentanyahu really Annex the settlements in the West Bank? Also when palestine is declared a sovereign state this would deem the settlements as an invasion and even more illegal than what they are now. WIth the uprisings reaching the gulf region, where most of Israel's support lies, where does Israel turn? I think this year will be a defining moment in Palestinian politics.
