I used to shave my own head about once a week or so using clippers and no guard. Prior to that I had shoulder length hair which is currently what I am trying to reaquire. It seems that it takes some time to regrow several years worth of hair growth - at this rate I suspect it will take several years.

I cut mine myself if I ever do it. I used to get it cut for about a fiver in a barbers, but they didn't understand 'just a trim' and always tried to reach for the damn clippers.

Mine changes a lot cause I cut it and dye it all the time. I also usually style it differently depending on what mood I'm in. I'm lying in my bed having just woken up and when I look over at the mirror on my wall, my hair looks like a black version of this:

I had hair down to my waist for a long time, started living in the woods so it dreaded up to about my shoulders. Of course living with a bunch of dirty kids in the woods gave me lice.

Totally colonized my dreads. Shaved them off, and now i keep my hair real short. It's nice to blend in and not be profiled. Especially when i leave the west coast.

(yes, I'm female) It's shorter in the front and slightly longer in the back (it tapers diagonally) and the front part is level/a little longer than my chin, and the back tapers into about an inch longer... Yes, I am female. Most hairdressers have a different price for men and women, which is kind of bullshit since all my hair needs is a quick buzz on the sizes and my fringe trimmed. Hairdressers also have a tendency to do my hair a bit wrong, so not only am I paying £25, I'm not even satisfied with the cut. (Alhough it's actually quite hard to shave your own mohawk, so it's not exactly perfect and neat...)

You should go to the one I go to, only charges a couple of quid for tidying up a mohawk :)

My hair is shoulder length, shorter on top, and shaved on the right side at the front. The shaved bit is pink and has spirals shaved into it and the rest is pink/purple/cherry red/blue/a mixture of all of these - I'm a fan of being colourful :lol:
