In Atlanta today, eight undocumented students were arrested at a rally which took place near the campus of Georgia State University. The rally was organized to spread the message that undocumented students are "undocumented and unafraid". The eight students who were arrested had "come out" as undocumented to their fellow students and were supported with a massive rally on the Courtland Street bridge and two huge banner drops. The eight students who were arrested have been taken to Atlanta Detention Center at 254 Peachtree St. and a vigil is being organized for 7:30 tonight, outside the detention center in support of the arrested students.

Anyone who is in the Atlanta area, please come out and show your support!

Video and news stories will be posted as they come out.

Where abouts you at? I can make sure you get notified of any events going on in Atlanta.

Also, just to let everyone know, I believe the seven arrested students may have been bailed out today. Not 100% on that though.

It is good to hear that the action was successful and they have not been deported. I'm hoping that here in the Bay Area of California this can encourage other undocumented students to be less afraid of taking more bold action.
