Infiltrating Obama for America

Comrades,

I'm thinking that some of us should go into Obama for America meetings and make some of the members question what they're doing. We should cite Obama's warmongering, weak economic policy, torture and draconian immigration policy just to name a few of the things that make him undeserving of our support. Obviously the extent to which we radicalize Obama supporters would be limited, but we might be able to win over some of Obama's younger fanatics.

I'm game, though I suspect most Obama supporters (and most Americans in general) are wary of socialists sidling up to them with a bone to pick - especially if that bone involves imperialism, war, and corporate kowtowing. :)

Democratic Party events are organized so bureaucratically that you'd basically have to get kicked out in order to make any difference. You also have to realize that the Obama campaign is going to have a very harsh insider mentality that you'd be violating, and it's simply not a good place to challenge the ideas. These are the people who've bought the Democratic Party hook, line and sinker.

Sadly I feel as if this effort would be mislead. Typically people who go to political party meeting are pretty set in their suport: especially Obamanuts. These people have no ideology whatsoever they just love Obama. I swear one minute you hear them talk about why the Iraq War was wrong and the next you'll hear them sing the praises supporting Obama's "defense" of the Libyan people. Then you'll hear them complain about the Bush tax cuts but praise the Obama bailout plan. You'll hear them criticize George Bush's lame duck Presidency and yet forget that Obama has done nothing worthwhile. They don't think. They just follow a charismatic man.
