It's me asking for help again :D
I have another history assignment, but this one is on propaganda.
I have to find a piece of propaganda (posters, songs, whatever) from around 1920 (post WW1) and around 1939 (pre WW2) then write about it etc...
Any ideas on specific pieces I can use?
I'm looking for something that nobody in the class would have thought of, something original etc...
Thanks

Good suggestion, Hugo. Just make sure you use the image search and not the web search. That way you won't have to weed through dozens of web pages that may or may not have the graphics you're looking for.

What would be really good, would be for you to get a hold of some propaganda from Warner Bros. They used Bugs Bunny and Daffy to boost the war effort and demonize the enemy.

I remember a clip of a World War II-era "Looney Toon"--Daffy Duck, I believe, snuck up on Hitler giving a speech and whacked his head with a mallet... maybe my favorite "Looney Toon"!

The Three Stooges also used to do a lot of propaganda type material in some of their skits. I'm sure it's available somewhere.

Bill Maher's book is full of imitation World War II posters giving the Bush administration shit... I enjoyed looking through it quite a bit.

Hello,
I do not know where you live but I would recommend going to your local college library and asking to see any books on propaganda and propaganda art. If it is a small college, you may want to stop by and ask one of the teachers when they are in their office for some titles.
