I was actually thinking about this. You see, this would be the perfect thread to move to a more serious version of Chit-Chat, as is being discussed in the Committed Users' forum. But as Chit-Chat stands at the moment, too many users there like to shit up threads with bullshit.

So this thread stays, for the moment. There's a lot of topics covered by the OP; why not use it as a springboard for a serious interchange?

I just included the cartoon for fun, but those videos are pretty incredible. They could certainly spark some intelligent discussion (not that there are many religious people here anyway).
