i here people saying there libral democrates or libral on the news and then i hear stuff like libralism is leaning on the far left and it the step before socialism leading libralism into socialism. but right now im just lost so can somebody help me.

There are seveal types of liberals. As a leftist you are a liberal in that you wish to see change implimented and look to alter the system, and suffer little bigotry etc.

Yet a liberal is also someone who supports the freedoms of corporations and laissez-faire.

a very good source would be th book Liberal Socialism by Carlo Rosselli

besides that, Enigma summed it up almost perfectly, good job
the liberal left favor more non strict leftist ideas but are almost always open to new ideas
