One of my favaourite instruments. I am a big fan of many string instruments such as the Sitar, Rudra-Veena, Fiddle, Biwa, Shamisen, Koto, Dulcimer, Zither et cetera.

I almost bought a Balalaika once when I was a lad and I saw it in a "car-boot" sale but I couldn't afford it.

I really want an alto balalaika now. I have a project where I have to write music for a Snuggie commercial, and I wrote the melody for alto balalaika because I thought it seemed cool.
