I think La Dispute would definitely fit under the post-hardcore label, would bands like touche amore, more than life and defeater fit under it aswell?

ugh anything but La Dispute
Sorry for all the oldies. I haven't kept up with the genre since like... 2006? (besides Touche Amore and letlive)
Hearing new bands would be cool.

early post-hardcore, which was also a lot of emocore, included Rites of Spring. One of my favorite songs of all time:

^^ Great bands, though I've never liked Alexis other than their 'Dog's Blood' EP. If you already know and like Touche Amore then I really don't have any really new bands to recommend, Defeater are a great band that tends to be thrown under the post-hardcore label though they don't really conform to the typical sound. You also might Break Even from Australia.

Alexisonfire can go away. Yuuuuuck!
As far as post-hardcore goes, I can't really go beyond Envy. Because they're just sick. I also, however, enjoy a bit of Rolo Tomassi.

Big Black and Fugazi are about as far as I go in post-hardcore. I might be forgetting other bands.
I've been suspicious of it given some of the modern shite I've heard that calls itself post-hardcore. My mate's in a post-hardcore band and I hate their music frankly, all this lame screaming and double bass pedal nonsense.

Are Deftones post-hardcore? I never heard of the term so I checked out these bands and they seem kind of like Deftones.
