Yesterday I saw a show on 'psychic' kids where a boy said he could see dead people and communicate with them. It was some what like this show but not the same one:

A few different thoughts went through my mind, I've seen a few of these shows and they're all basically the same. A therapist is brought in and the kids are introduced to other 'psychics'. Some of my thoughts centered around the questions: Is this a form of child abuse? Is this some form of mental illness? Is this from exposure to certian MEDIA and or film/movies (modern culture) ? Is this real?
I'm leaning towards a product of our culture- endless films about people who see ghosts etc and perhaps some core family issues (neglect). What are your opinions?
