Met Herman Li of Dragon Force

I was at a Sonarta Arctica gig the other night. Me and a friend were standing at the back by the bar and Herman Lee was there in the crowd. We went over, said hello and said how much we love his music. He was really nice.

Well, I love the former (i've seen them about 5 times now)n but never been a huge fan of the latter. I guess I'm a sucker for the cheesy cheerfulness of Sonata.

I remember when I used to love the shit out of Dragonforce. Nowadays, most of their songs are a bit samey-samey to me, and have since moved on to other bands.

That said, they're still a guilty pleasure of mine from time to time, particularly when drunk for some reason.

Lucky. I do like a bit of Dragonforce... some of their songs are meh, Ultra Beatdown wasn't the best album but Inhumane Rampage and Sonic Firestorm are awesome. I've listened the shit out of all of them, so they are kinda wearing thin, heard they got a new lead singer recently, dunno if he's any good but still looking forward to any new albums they plan of bringing out. :)
