People wonder why I'm Christian when Christians can so disrespect women. And I sometimes wonder why myself.
With all due respect to the young ladies in the youtube--women should be treated with the proper respect and as equal comrades in the fight against Bourgeois Liberalism.

Thug lesson: he said "kai su teknon, not "et tu Brute".
No one really knows for sure, according to Suetonius he said καὶ σὺ τέκνον- "You too, my child" - in De Vita Caesarum: Liber I Divus Iulius: LXXXII
On continental Europe the standard phrase attributed to Caesar is Tu quoque, Brute, fili mi!- "You too, Brutus, my son"- so the Latin and the Greek are similar. The "Et tu, Brute" comes from Shakespeare's interpretation of the "tu quoque".
This is interesting in that there has always been a rumour that Marcus Iunius Brutus the Younger was actually Caesar's biological son- this is alluded to in Plutarch although it has never been generally accepted as historical fact. Plutarch was born in 46 CE and so it causes some issues with reliability.
Seeing as Caesar was a Roman and had a dificult relationship with Brutus' mother I rather think he may have said something on the lines of...
"I knew it would be you Brutus, you son of a ..........."

I mean all I want is a dishwashing job or something part time after my main job so that I can afford to move out into another place after the lease is up here but no fucking way are there jobs in oregon. I'll see a job that I initially think 'oh for fucks sake I'm not even really qualified for that and I'd probably going to fail at it and get fired but I don't have a choice so I guess I'll give it a shot' and then I see that it's an hour away anyways and it doesn't even matter. REI is hiring- sales specialist positions- evenings. "You must know your shit or else you won't do well in this position and we'll fire you and you'll feel like shit and probably kill yourself but oh well'
I'll be getting 3 hours of sleep with nearly all of the 5 jobs I found in all of oregon.

Don't you think it's rather unfair for one particular sectarian group to coop a venue meant for all people to use?
What if the Scientologists or PETA or the Jehovah Whitnesses or the BNP decided their demands were so important that no one else could speak until they were met?

[Edit] My wife her "people" made me get a Blackberry and a company computer and are now making use them and read things--and it's all clutter. And they want responses! I keep asking people how all this stuff works and then they show me and it works then--but when they hang up it doesn't work that way anymore. I feel like an idiot if I keep asking. Yes everyone should be allowed to speak their minds freely but they're not. If another group wanted to occupy as well then of course they should be allowed to (as long as they are not reactionaries). People have been occupying parliament square to protest the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan since they began and it's a law from the magna carta which allows us to do this. So what's your point?
p.s. it's "stiff upper lip" but fuck that nationalist bullshit which creates a negative stereotype enforcing archaic gender roles which say men should not show emotion.

So I took the chance and msged him and awkwardly asked him if he remembered living on my street and a girl he used to chase then wrestle down in the grass, kiss and run off. He said he remembered and asked me to add him as a friend. Anyway, hes still the cutest boy I ever saw just like when I was 12.

Last week I was on facebook and there was a comment on a friends post from my very first crush when I was 12 years old. I hadnt seen him since we were 13 and his family moved away to another city.
Isnt that the cutest story you ever heard?
There was a girl who lived across the street from me when I was a kid, about two years older who would whisper my name out her window, gradually getting louder and louder to get my attention- we'd hang out a lot and do kid things together. She was that best older friend but the type who's right on the edge of moving on and growing up before you. Last time I was in town I was walking the old neighborhood and visiting a friend and she was there on her porch and did the name thing and we hung out and ended up meeting old friends for a holiday party- it was a bit surreal. We were such hoodlums and now we're all so different. Hanging out with friends we grew up with since first grade through whenever.

Lol... Cute ^_^. I guess. *does not understand adolescent infatuation and therefore does not understand reminiscing on adolescent fascination, even though I'm at that age...*
Well if you live long enough, you find theres nothing like that first anything. Its a revisited feeling or emotion that is accompanied by happiness. I remember everything, the weather, the way the grass smells, his scent, everything. Even though I have been married twice, and have had lovers through the years, I've only been in love once. After he died, I still dont think it will ever happen again, it was a once in a lifetime thing. But having all these youthful emotions flood back is almost as good.
I am old by the way, Us old people get this way

We haven't seen each other since I went to see her when we were 15. I really hope she didn't stay with her boyfriend at the time. He was so athletic and wealthy and blonde and nice, a real goody two shoes, god I hated him, everything I'm not. I remember when I was added by the girl I had a crush on at school. My first kiss, even, though I didn't know about it until after it was done, she sneaked up on me! Anyway...she was super cute then, it was her hair what did it. What's the word for those loose curls people have? You know, not curly-curly, but just...tending towards curls...? I don't care, it was like that! And the first thing I thought when I checked her profile was 'why oh why does she straighten her hair now?!', followed by 'why oh why does she wear so much make-up now?!', followed by 'why oh why does she just look so ugly and fake and plastic now?!' I concluded it was because the English often are

You have had and will have deep and meaningful emotions. It's who you are. You may have just tranfered them from an individual to other things in you life. You are still you--it's just your focus that has changed. And if it changed once--who's to say it can't change again?

If I say that you're one of my favourite posters on RevLeft, do I get a 'daw', too, or am I just milking the opportunity far too hard?
yeah you're taking advantage i think.

Not really, and I hope you notice that OI-ers were also involved in fighting that sort of bullshit.
I suppose we could compare it to that font of enlightenment that is Chit Chat or the counter-revolutionary actions of some of the anti-dialecticians etc....
No, fuck it- I am going to defend OI for once!

Actually their first 3 albums were VERY politically progressive. Then they got into the smaltzy stuff. Terry Kath (one of the greatest guitarists that ever lived) Had the band in a very almost Socialist direction.
Very correct. They died hardcore...:(
People sometimes criticize ABBA, atleast they did a song about the Mexican revolution that still gets airplay! Chicago went sucky and then died, leaving a smaltzy ghost screaming on the radio...

NO NEED.
ABBA a totally progressive band. "Waterloo"--a diatribe against totalitarianism. "Fernando--a paen about some sort of South American stuff, no doubt revolutionary.
There you go--Socialtist Music.

Yeah, it is specifically about the Mexican revolution in fact;
''Now we’re old and grey fernando
And since many years I haven’t seen a rifle in your hand
Can you hear the drums fernando?
Do you still recall the frightful night we crossed the rio grande?
I can see it in your eyes
How proud you were to fight for freedom in this land''
The crossing of the Rio Grande happened many times with revolutionaries, who made plans over the borders (especially in El Paso), but likely refers to Francisco “Pancho” Villa's crossing into Mexico with his eight followers to wage a revolution in the state of Chihuahua.

My friend who is in town from Amsterdamn says you can smoke weed in bard but you cant smoke a cigarette in one. Here in La you can smoke a cig in a bar but smoking weed with get you time in Angola. Nice contrast.

wow you can smoke in bars in LA? I thought that that was one of the first places to ban it?
I really miss not being able to smoke in pubs although most pubs bring the ash trays out after closing.

We cant smoke in bars that serve food though some had the insight to apply as a cigar bar before it went into law.
Louisiana is such a wonderful colorful place to be. I love my culture so much, the music food and green lushness just minutes away from the cities. We have the best of both worlds.

ah sorry I read it as Los Angeles, Louisiana and specifically New Orleans may be the only places that might tempt me to go to America if they'd let me in :p mainly for the music. I don't do well with spicy food or hot weather :)
