Holy crap this is some crazy shit!

The Bush haters are also befuddled that most Americans believe Saddam Hussein had a role in the September 11 attacks. In fact, there is a definite 9/11-Saddam link, although probably not a direct one. Setting aside the question of how much contact there was between al Qaeda and Saddam, it was Saddam's invasion of Kuwait in 1990 that set off a chain of events that led inexorably to 9/11.

This is interesting as Bush himself a few days ago said that there was NO Saddam link to Al Qaeda's 9/11 slaughter, you have been contradicted by your Fuhrer. How exactly do the 1990 invasion and 2001 attacks have anything solid to do with each other, the US already had a substantial military relationship with the Saudi's in the 80's, supplying many billions worth of military equipment and what is reported to be some $6 billion in torture implements. The very fact that the Saud family is corrupt and, as UBL puts it, is disrespectful to the sacred sites of islam is enough to turn any of these religious militants blood boiling. Osama hates Saudi Arabia for no reason to do with the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait.

On the topic of the Saddam/Al Qaeda relationship, Osama has said on many occasions that he hates Saddam with a vengence, and would never work with the Iraqis directly.

Some of the Bush haters have even gone so far as to say the president has failed in Afghanistan. One particularly over-the-top example is Arizona Republic columnist Ricardo Pimentel, who recently wrote: "The warlords and the folks who harbored Osama — the Taliban — control nearly all of Afghanistan except for Kabul." While this may be holy writ among the Bush haters, not even bin Laden or Mullah Omar would believe that whopper.

Afghanistan has been a realtive success for US imperialism, it got rid of the Taliban (which the US and its Pakistani puppets supplied up until early 2001) and installed former oil consultant Hamid Karzia as President, and to top that off the CAR's can now ship their oil through Afghanisatan rather than Iran or Russia.

TIME (which was quoted in the article) carried a 2 page article on the resurgent al Qaeda and Taliban forces in Afghanistan/Pakistan saying that these forces are on the comeback, launching attacks on American and Afghan forces as well as Afghans who they claim to be informants from the saftey of Pakistani trial areas.

To those who bemoan the cost of Iraq, I pose this simple question: Is it better to leave future generations with more debt, or more terrorism?

The way that american imperialism is going, your going to get MUCH more of both. happy hunting to the Fuhrer and his accomplises at the NRO.
