Well,you should not open threads like this,without any introduction,points,this is just a video,and not quite the perfect subject for discussion.
If you ask me,he was a sad,sad individual,indeed a brutal and sick man,he was the puppet of the imperialist dogs,who used him in a number of cases.
He was used by a number of more powerful political powers.In the start,the imperialists used him,and after that,he went rogue,starting conflicts and massacres.

Although there is not much that can be said about Idi Amin,i must warn you of a danger,don't believe all of the youtube clips,as they tend to be right-wing propaganda (not in this case though)

It's just a shame that Idi didn't engage in any sort of substantial nationalization campaign or make the occassional comment criticizing U.S. foreign policy. Cuz then communists could really support him!

Idi Amin is a man I would have always opposed, but don't be fooled, he started out as a British Imperialist puppet, later he nationalised a shit load of companies that were british owned, and that's when he was starting to be denounced by the kingdom.

Initially he presented himself as a pan African nationalist and Ant Zionist ( in the 1960s-70s) a progressive role.The Soviets backed similar movements and leaders in the 1970s so he wasnt any exception initially in thier eyes

It's almost impossible for most presidents and business administators to resist the honeys and pleasures of wealth. Specially in very poor countries like Uganda where politicians like Idi Amin were maybe poor in a part of their lives, lives in their poor countries that are full of suffering and pain, so when they rise to government and see themselves in a new life of pleasures and wealth it is almost impossible for them to resist the temptation of stealing money.
