Hello, everyone; I am a libertarian socialist. I'd also describe myself as a transhumanist. I'm from the USA (Around Atlanta, GA). Back during my teenage years, I was a right-winger, but then I grew up and rejected capitalism.
So, anyway, I joined this place to discuss politics and stuff with and learn from like-minded individuals. To give you a good idea of what, exactly, I believe, here's a copy-paste of a paragraph I've used to describe myself elsewhere:
"I believe that social hierarchy is unjust among a species of equals. I believe a stateless, purely democratic society where the means of production are cooperatively controlled by everyone, without the need for currency or the market, is the ideal condition for human society. I believe this is feasible, and can be achieved through non-violence."

Another Georgia comrade here. Sounds like the same story for me, I went from being a conservative to a communist. One thing I'm proud to say is I've always hated liberals, now I do so for the right reasons :thumbup1:

Still in the area; well, sort of. Often travel between there and the college I'm studying at (Computer science major). Not in any left-organizations, yet; if you could point me in the direction of some local ones, that would be awesome.

Funny how life can turn out, eh?

In Fayette-Coweta there aren't really any, but I'm in the International Socialist Organization in Atlanta. We meet at Georgia State University so it shouldn't be that ba of a drive from there. Thursdays 7pm @ General Classroom Building 323. Also, feel free to check out our websites.

In the Atlanta area are the Revolutionary Communist Party, Socialist Workers' Party, Democratic Socialists of America, and Solidarity. Only DSA and Solidarity aren't cultish, but DSA is definitely not a rveolutionary group and all you would do is capaign for Democratic candidates and give them left cover to compromise with Republicans. I'm not Solidarity's biggest fan locally, but nationally they have a good organization.
