The commentary was epic. However the game itself wasn't quite as epic as the 152-148 double overtime deathmatch between the Celtics and Blazers in '92.

Lol, for one second I thought that the Real Madrid who plays soccer was playing basketball, but then I realized that they both probably just have the same owners or the name is really popular. I like the part where he's saying mi madre. This is why in general sports commentators should strive to be as into the game as possible. People don't want to hear who's passing it to who, they want to feel the emotion of the stadium.

:blink:where are you from?US right?Clubs are very usual athletic clubs which means they host different of sports. There may be an owner which is put in charge for the A sport, or B sport but they are still beyond the same club. They are all Real Madrid which on basketball may get a branch name B.C Real Madrid, on football F.C Real Madrid etc etc.If someone would think to take advantage of a populars team name, to create another club, trust me he would have huge problems coming to him/her.

I don't get why sports commentators got so sterile over the years. I mean, I like when someone is full of informations like what did the defender's aunt have for dinner last night, but who can match this passion?

Tiziano Crudeli, football commentator (the funny guy with the moustache), was covering the match between Inter Milan and AC Milan, two bitter local rivals. Inter was leading 2:0 and Milan managed to pull off a 2:3, which almost gave poor old Tiziano a heart attack. Needless to say, he is a very opened AC Milan supporter. :)

The fact that you had to go this back and use a best of video, actually tells a lot!

If every NBA game was like that I might actually care about basketball. As it is, the NBA is boring as fuck, has WAY too many games, and I couldn't be bothered to pay as much as the tickets cost to watch people throw the ball back and forth with one or two star players and no one else doing anything worthwhile.

Fans are also a big factor in favor of Euroleague.
Even though basketball is very attractive in the NBA, all that supporters seem to be doing is clapping their hands and singing probably the most annoying tune ever that goes "DE-FENCE (clapclapclap) DE-FENSE)"
Even though that I'm explaining how these fans are right-wing in the other thread right now, this kind of support in a basketball game is a thing of beauty.

I went that far back because Jordan was my childhood hero. Also, the best of video was used to show how common place that stuff is. The reality it doesn't matter what era it is, that type of stuff is common place in the NBA.

From the 1970's to today I can demonstrate that the NBA (and ABA) sees this sort of stuff all the time.
Further, anyone else remember the Dream Team? It was never a question of who would win the gold, just how many points it would be won by.

The '90s is "far back"? I must be getting old. :scared:
Rodman was my favorite player. It was just an amazing team overall, though. Jordan gets credit, and not to take anything away from him, but it was a great team with or without him (Rodman, Pippen, Kerr, Kukoc, Longley, Harper. . .)
Phil Jackson was probably their biggest asset, though.

True. But we should also remember rookie Jordan carrying the Bulls to the playoffs against the likes of Magic and Bird.
Phil Jackson was probably their biggest asset, though.
Questionably true.
