So from what I understand it's a great film, but Netflix doesn't have a copy of it on disc or streaming... I found some torrent dl's of it, but unfortunately none of them have the English subtitles encoded in the .avi files... Now I'm not completely stupid, so I do know how to use VDub. The trouble is, I wanna watch the film on my TV (I have a PS3 which is .avi compatible), not my computer, and VDub spits out a 10 Gig file when you re-encode the .avi to include the subs. If I've not completely lost you by now, you know that even a DVD+R DL will only hold a little over 8.5 Gigs...
Sooooo, I was hoping that one of you guys to point me in the direction of some ridiculously good video compression software (and I'm not sure that such a thing exists, leastways not one that won't kill the quality of the movie) that's either free or I can pirate, or hook a brother up with someplace where I can dl a version with subs already included.
Thx!

I just went on google videos and I searched "Libertarias with English Subtitles" and it worked fine.

Christ... I can't believe I didn't think of that. Google's video player is one of the few web based video players that actually works with the PS3's browser as well...

I was just gonna say stick it on a flash drive and play it via your ps3 that way. But google work too I suppose.

Update: Just finished it and it defo lived up to the hype... Great flick. I wound up watching it on the computer even though I didn't want to, though. The Google video version's subtitles were all out of whack and after about 30 minutes I couldn't take it anymore.

Yeah, I just watched it about 15 minutes ago, and then fucked the entire movie up.

Meh Didn't have a flash drive big enough... The only one I own is 2 Gigs. Anyway, I figured out the best solution of all. I found a freeware Java based media server that works great. No more file size considerations, wasting DVDs, or sneaker netting the thumb drive... I can stream wirelessly directly from PC now.
