Voting commences in Egypt!
Today has marked the day of democracy after the fall of dictator Hosni Mubarak as Egyptian citizens are allowed to "democratically" vote for the first time in over 30 years. According to the Arab news channel Al Jazeera, voters turned out in their "millions" - a huge boost to the collective social capital.
Egyptians will be able to vote on nine amendments, mostly revolving around the conduct of elections and their functioning process. One of the amendments focused on the ability for a candidate to run independently for in an election while the other was aimed at the judicial oversight of elections.
