The PSL among several other organizations are sponsoring tomorrows rally commemorating the 8th anniversary of America's second invasion of Iraq. If you're in L.A., San Diego, or SF then please come out. Hope to see some of you. Although I don't know what any of you look like.

I'd go but I'm still really sick. Dammit. 2011 will be the year when I don't get like 20 weird-ass trot newspapers telling me about the dangers of Stalinist bureaucracy.

I wanna get involved with stuff though, you know where I can find their (PSL/ANSWER/activist groups) calendar or something?

I attended the local rally to stop the wars today. It was pretty pathetic (http://queersingularity.wordpress.com/2011/03/19/its-been-eight-years/).

I had fun, we all got rained on, but yah it was pathetically non-energenic and not radical.

That's depressing. The rally we had here was very loud and energetic. We had people flocking out of buildings to come see what was going on and a lot of youth joined in. Here's coverage from Liberation News of the March 19th protests across the country: http://www.pslweb.org/liberationnews/news/march-19-protests-iraq.html

No doubt there would have been better numbers if their was better weather. The march in SF ended at a hotel that is on boycott with a picket line. After about 30 mins of picketing and blocking the street, ANSWER was like, ok everybody clear the sidewalks. the "black bloc" remained and kept protesting with the RCP of all people, who were yelling in arabic and waving copies of "revolution" around while the cops corralled them. then the "black bloc" of anarchist marched back to city hall and by the end of it we had around 50 cops following on foot and motor cycle for the 12 of us. I had fun but I was looking for a longer, larger event.
