Watch this interview by Chris Hedges about the state of the USA media.
TVmYsfB9J2g
In case it wasnt clear from his columns (http://www.truthdig.com/chris_hedges), Chris Hedges is not optimistic about the state of American media and chagrined by the future of a culture in which people dont read anymore, as he notes in this interview with Media Roots (http://www.mediaroots.org/). Hedges doesnt spare the Internet in this critique, either, pegging online news as a big game of telephone that ignores the journalistic standards of reporting and vetting set, if not always followed, by old media.
