No, that seems pretty real to me. Especially the little off-hand tidbits like "I can see everything, in color." "I've never felt any of this before." And "there was no me for it to go thru."

I've always wanted to do LSD. Could never find any.
Also, how addictive is it? How long does it last?
Also, when the hell did Manic get restricted? It seems like all the cool people get restricted.

I don't know, the first time I did acid it was a bit like that- liquid acid is like taking 3 hits of your average paper acid. She seems like she frying on a frying pan :) It would suck to have that guy prodding you. I'd get up and leave. Wander the streets talking to random people. Probably end up in the psych ward? Doing acid in the mountains is great. Away from "normal" people. (I should say was great,I can't do psychedelics anymore, too old and worn out).

It isn't physically addictive and you will want a full free day to do it.

So you imagine yourself as an old wrinkly sack when you're on it?

tried it twice...had a very, very bad trip both times. Think I flew with virging airlines :D Same with mushrooms....never ever did anything good for me. :( everybody having a wonderful time...while I was getting all freaky and paranoid.
Seriously can not handle psychadelics.
Pretty disturbing is this one time we went walking and ended up in some field...and all of the sudden in the middle of the f*** field the grass started "screaming" every time I took a step...pretty disturbing then...utterly hilarious now....some of the worst hours of my life spent in that field trying to apologise to te grass and not trying to move...

It's not addictive at all, tho some people do develop a habit. It can last from 4-5hrs with not so good shit, to 12 hrs with good stuff.
To me, it felt like I was just born into a fully grown body. Everything that should've been familiar was fresh, new, and exciting. I was sitting under an awning and rain drops were falling on my head......... it was like a shot of adrenaline every time it happened :D

Your not alone, never did acid but that's only because each and everyone of my shroom trips went horribly bad. While my mates did far more shrooms than i they would maybe see some happy colors I would get "revelations" style hallucinations with the earth splitting and demons descending.
So no hallucinatics for me either. Stimulants and narcotics on the other hand....

Acid is noticeably different than shrooms. On shrooms the first thing you notice is how terrible your stomach feels and this feeling lasts for most of the trip. Visual hallucinations are generally limited to waves (things moving which don't normally - like curtains) and breathing (the pores in the walls increasing in size, etc.. patterns moving a bit). Your thinking is often circular and repetitive - hence why it's best to have things to do.
Acid is a whole different boat. There's no negative physical feeling, other than an heightened energy and an empty feeling (like you're not hungry). I don't really remember thinking hardly at all when on acid, mostly just really excited to do stuff and look at things. Hallucinations are serious depending on the dose, but most are just a more intense version of shrooms with some color distortion. Everything seems amazing so long as you remember the cardinal rule of all hallucinogens:
Set and Setting.
Don't do hallucinogens unless your mindset is right (i.e. you feel good about taking the drug and want to do it) and your setting is proper (safe place, maybe someone not on drugs nearby). The beach is a good setting for first times. Also, pack preparations: a jacket, water/food, a flashlight, etc... you don't know where you'll go or how long you'll be there.
In short: Don't do hallucinogens unless you know what your doing and start with a small amount for your first time.

And watch/do something funny. That's what shrooms are all about for me. I just find everything hilarious.

Actors acting. It seems totally legit to me. I've probably said similar things as that woman back in the day. Things like the concept of inside and outside suddenly make no sense whatsoever - inside, outside, we're all surrounded in this blanket of the same air, why is it different if there is a roof or not? What's a patio? I don't understand the concept of patio!

Intresting as an psychosis. It was absolutely terrifying at the moment.
So Yeah, I would want to give acid an try but my bad experiences with shrooms are quite a ballast, also I would be more comfortable if it lasted shorter. The thing that more or less saved me during my bad shroom trips was that I knew it would end in a few hours, the idea that I mightbe stuck in a bad trip for a whole day kinda puts me off.
Useful fact for dealing with people on hallucinating drugs; the best way to check if people are just having a bad trip or an actual psychosis is to ask them to connect the fact that that used drugs with their experiences. If they can still acknowledge the connection they are having a bad trip, if they cast away the suggestion "yes I did take drugs but that has nothing to do with this, the cia is really out to get me" its time to get some professional help involved.

I have precisely the same problem, in fact I had a trip on Salvia which sounds very similar. Best to stick to stable things...

What happned to this whole ''no drug talk'' policy?
i dont criticize the discussion, just asking.

You can talk drugs, as long as you don't discuss grow tips, recipes or direct other users to your dealer and such.

I LOVE LSD. Even though he got carried away with all the new agey pseudo-science and spiritual BS/was probably an arrogant womanizing bastard who neglected his children, I still think Timothy Leary was the man because he blew the doors right open on the American psyche.

Don't listen to death metal when on shrooms. Even if you like it when sober or stoned as I do, you'll most likely freak out. Kind of a shame really, as it was my first time.
On the other hand, my experiences with LSD have never been anything other than utterly fascinating. I felt that tremendous sense of wonder about the universe one gets when one looks up at a starry sky, only magnified a thousand times. It was so overwhelmingly magnificent that I couldn't help but laugh until it hurt.
It's the closest thing I've had to a "spiritual" experience, and it's even more amazing that a mere chemical could produce such rich and complex experiences. With acid and our astounding universe, who needs God?
