Just want to say hello. I live in Chicago, I like White Sox baseball, NHL hockey, other sports, food, travel music. I also like activism, and taking apathetic hipster douches to task.

My biggest pet peeve is apathy. I feel that many people have been programed to not care or think they cannot do anything.

I was a Social Worker for two years, I worked in one of the most violent innercities in the United States. I have seen a struggle to survive that many do not even realize is going on right here in the USA.

Glad to have you here, fellow Midwesterner :)

Man, Chicago is a rough city... (I'm not too far away from there). The midwest has some of the worst hit spots for both unemployment and violence (Chicago, Gary, Detroit, St Louis, etc.)

Hello my friend, i love weight training, i follow a low-carb diet because i have a slow thyroid. One of the worst things of the capitalist system in the USA is the excess of carbohydrates and calories in the way of eating of most people. You know some people say that in America people have total freedom to eat healthy, but that is not entirely true because the extreme propaganda of cakes, pizzas, burgers, ice-creams and foods loaded with carbohydrates is so strong that people give in their temptations and eat those foods gain weight, get diabetes and other diseases. I talk about health here with you because the most important things for the development of a nation and of the world are based on good health and physiology and superior education.

But you know the oligarchic economic system we have in America is unable to provide great health and great intelligence, superior education, superior philosophy and knowledge to 100% of adult americans. That's why we need a workers-government. A government where the rulers would be nurses, teachers, car-makers, floor cleaners. Because workers are more compatible with american average joes, than super rich plutocrats like Obama, Bush and Sarah Palin

Greetings comrade. It is quite nice to see someone with strong views against the apathetic. Many I know up here are not quite forward thinking.
