Sorry, can you point out what they actually did that made much of a difference? They employed the wrong tactics at the wrong time, neither did they really make their goals and aims specifically clear.

The Weathermen/Weather Underground was never a mass movement. They exercised limited influence on the US Left in the mid-1970s with the publication of Prairie Fire and Osawatomie Notes and finally Emile de Antonio's documentary Underground.

There was a small above ground support group that was short lived but that's all there was.
