Now that Scott Walker has passed his Union Solidarity Breaking Bill, I hope that this angers union representatives across the whole country and causes mass strikes in every state. I think that Capitalism in taking its final breaths.

We all want this, but I think your being a tad optimistic. It'll take much more than this to topple the system. Not to say that all hope is lost or that we may not be close, but there have been multiple revolutions in the past all of which failed to topple the system.
It's better to err on the side of caution rather than putting up our own 'Mission Accomplished' banners up so soon. Perhaps, in a few years it will be possible, but until then I remain a skeptic.

I agree. When you get to the levels of the '68, then you can begin to speculate about revolution, but at the moment we're really just looking to build a movement. Don't let your reach exceed your grasp, you'll just burn yourself out.

"Obviously this was a very disappointing loss for us, with regards to the collective bargaining changes that were made. However, it's not the end of our fight," said Abelson. "We have -- we're a union. What we do is we represent workers at the workplace, give them a voice, and we will continue to do so. It is our mission, it is what we believe, it is who we are.
"And now it's time to redirect those efforts, it is time to take back the Wisconsin Senate. We are very much engaged in the recall efforts that are taking place with the eight Republican senators. We think a significant number of those are gonna be successful recalls, we think by summer we will have changed the face of the Wisconsin Senate.
"But again, I want to just make this very clear. If the intent was by Governor Walker and his fellow De-- Republicans, excuse me, in the legislature, to destroy the union movement in the public sector in Wisconsin, it's going to fail. We are going to change, and we are going to adapt, and we will continue to do what we do, and that is represent people in the workplace. And if the bargaining table is taken away from us, we will replace that with much more political and legislative activity.
"I mean, look, public sector workers in Wisconsin are committed and dedicated to the citizens we serve. And there has been no talk of a general strike, there has been no talk of targeted strikes, or job actions or anything else. Our dispute is not with our employers. Our dispute is with the Republicans in the Wisconsin Senate, the Republicans in the Wisconsin Assembly, and Governor Walker." -- Rich Abelson, executive director of AFSCME Council 48 in Milwaukee, on the local public affairs show UpFront with Mike Gousha.

We are not on the cusp of revolution. This is really a revolutionizing period, one that will help legitimize revolutionary socialism and will probably cause an increase in membership to socialist parties.

You're not going to eat that cat are you? :)
What happens is up to us, I don't see a socialist revolution taking place but some post holes can be dug for a future foundation perhaps. The combination of a (real) 10% unemployment rate, coming attacks on state workers and 4 to 5 dollar a gallon gas is going to be interesting. Social unrest is appearing in my crystal ball. Revolution? I'm not so sure about that.

i saw "us" as referring to pro-revolutionaries more than workers generally
