Sorry for the provocative title, but that's the word a friend of mine used. She, an Indian receptionist, talks about how people of color complain about racism while at the same being Uncle Toms.

I too have the experience because I used to spend time at the local resort here; the good treatment that whiteys receive is impossible to describe, in sharp contrast to the treatment given to the rest.

Point is, this goes way beyond money (because others at the resort also have enough money), so the 'financial reward' argument doesn't cut it. It seems more psychological in nature. So my conclusion is: racism is not the real problem. The uncle toms in the colored community are; like my friend says, they lack self-respect.

What say you?

Seriously and these welfare pimps just sponging off the system too. And these poor misguided youth sagging their pants and listening to gangster rap! What isn't wrong with the black community these days? Oh back in the day when they were subservient to all our demands.

I would say the latter is more or less a direct result of the former.

Can a mod trash this please? It's based on hearsay, and borders on racism.

It's just really, really, really poorly communicated, I think.

I don't give a fuck, it happens no matter whether you're color or not.

There's a name for white people who try and act too brown, and we call them Beaners. Even though the word Beaner didn't mean what it does now, and has been blown out of it's original context for years.

We also have Wigger, for those white guys who try and act too black.

I think the 1700s "What say you?" ending, threw everyone.

And here I was thinking that "what say you" was something people other than me actually say.
