View Full Version : Let's create a (literally) revolutionary programming language

Know about lolcode? It's a programming language using lolcat speech.
We have to make a revolutionary/communist one.We just have to.
(It'll also be good practice on my compilers course).
Like:
delegate p; = pointer p;
purge p; = free p;
let's think of communist word association to programming stuff, i m having a hard time coming up of stuff.

You're being really bad comrades.

This goes over my head; your enthusiasm is lost on me, sorry!

Will you implement classes?:bored:

So you want slogans that you can generate that are leftists?
¿Que?

I can't think of anything. :(

No classes, that's beyond my skill level :bored:
It's indeed hard to think of associations..
Try variations, like a stalinist / anarchopunkish programming lang...
print (x) , ---> graffiti (x) for example

This is actually way more harder than it looks. Tried for like 10 minutes to think of something.

It is going to be hard to figure out all the syntax. xP
Sounds like a fun idea if only for the lols.

Every program must end with "Workers of the World, Unite!"
That's good that it will be classless, but can you make it stateless?
Don't forget about error messages:
"Right Parenthesis Alienated by Bourgeoisie."
Oh, and make sure the Garbage Collector has a union.
:laugh:
dont you have anything better to do? :p this wont help you, it will confuse you even more. let me finish my course and i will come back to rethink this:lol:

Compile = Collectivize
Syntax Error = Counter-Revolutionary Action

That's what i m talking about!

You have a compilers course?
Weren't you asking help for a C course a few months ago?
Strange course structure,dude.

i didnt say yours course, i said mine :p its still programming on C++(though more advanced) and for that i said let me get over with it to understand it completely and then i come back try to think about new language so i dont mess things up.;):lol:

Since we've hit an obstacle, i suggest a paradigm shift, and create:
God's programming language.
Start coming up with keywords and commands!
like:
let there be X - variable declaration?

This is too hard. There is no way I could remember this kind of syntax. xD
