Just discovered this today, fucking rad 90's-eque emo in the vein of Sunny Day Real Estate, Rainer Maria etc. Boss.
Check it out: http://www.myspace.com/footballetc
Debut 12" has just been released over here, it's on order. Again, RAD.

Not enough 90s emo revival right now.

Not enough 90s emo revival right now.
Huh, I wasn't aware there was a revival at all, I thought the term emo has been forever lost, most people thinking of crap like Taking Back Sunday when they hear it instead of bands like SDRE, Jimmy Eat World, etc.
Do you know of any more contemporary music like this?

I don't particularly class Jimmy Eat World in the same league. 90s emo has its roots firmly in the post-hardcore community and whatnot. There's a few contemporary bands if you look out for them, but mostly ones that ended around 95-96 or so.
The Saddest Landscape
Bob Tilton (RIP)
Mineral (RIP)
Sleepytime Trio (rad!)
I Would Set Myself on Fire for You (experiemental stuff, weird in places, 2001-2007ish)
Empire! Empire! (rad!)
These are amongst some of my favourites anyway. That's before even mentioning the excellent Sunny Day Real Estate and Cedar of Lebanon.
EDIT: Tried to post videos, and I still don't get the whole Youtube linking thing. So you'll have to do a bit of searching yourself.

Jimmy Eat World came from a distinct pop punkish stream that existed within the 90's emo movement. But I can totally see how you wouldn't throw them in with the likes of SDRE or Jawbreaker.
Thanks for the recommendations.

Too much twinkle 90s inspired bands lately. I blame Algernon Cadwallader for starting it all (probably). I think a lot of it is coming from Pennsylvania (AC, Snowing, Streetsmart Cyclist, etc.) but of course there are exceptions (Empire empire i was a lonely boy out on the internet and wanted a long band name).
Anyway, good band.

For a minute i thought you were talking about American Football. I checked out football, etc they're really good enjoying them quite a bit. Sunny Day Real Estate is great too. You ever listen to Texas is the Reason? They're pretty good. Also if you ever listen to American Football or Cap'n Jazz you'd probably like Joan of Arc, and Owen.:)
