I'm in the blue (fake) Converse shoes and mangled jeans...and my arms are kinda near Ryan's (from Poison the Well) feet. Hehehehe.
Kerrang = leading UK rock/metal magazine = pile of piss.

hmmmm. i think i'm seeing it right... your arm is the one right between the guitarist's leg and everyone else with the shortsleeve shirt?
i went to a show yesterday at some christian cafe. so naturally all of the bands thought jesus rawks and that we ought to get to know him. but only two of them (the worst ones) actually sang about jesus. pretty pathetic i know, but it's the only place in my small town to see live punk music. unless you want to drive an hour to norfolk or even further to va beach.

Lucky bugger, at the mo I'm trying to sort out seeing Thrice and Thursday, but my rents won't let me go to gigs in term time, so we're being creative with the truth!!!

Prioritise Thrice. I'm probably taking time off work for Thursday, but that's cos a chica bella wants to meet me there, plus a zillion people I don't see nearly enough of. But seriously, Thrice...christ.

You referring to Thrice??
Alan
EDIT: If you buy tickets off Ticketmaster you're a sucker. They're corporate fucks and they charge you more. Plus in this instance they're outta date. The venue's been upgraded.

I know, it's at the Astoria, so where do I get tickets? I need two, and I really want to go! Everyone else's already got their tickets but we were too slow :( The chances of there being any tickets is tiny since everyone's raving about the new Thursday album.
And I'm all confused cos the radio 1 site says that all these bands like Tomahawk and FFAF are playing in Brighton last week in october but I don't seem able to get tickets, and with FFAF they're supposed to be playing in Southampton at the same time as in Brighton!
Oh well.

I don't wanna sound like a twat, but I don't wanna be spreading my last option of getting a ticket before I get it. Now I can't do that until Friday...so on Friday I'll tell you. It's not at all sure, but I got my ticket for the show this thread's about that way when it was supposedly sold out.
Thursday are so so. I'm mainly going for Coheed and Cambria, who are genius.

Ah man....FFAF are pitiful. Their second EP's good, but as people they're dicks. Trust...they stood back while their tour manager hit me.

So they're arseholes, loads of musicians are I'm afraid, doesn't stop me liking their music. And I'd really appreciate it if you didn't make me feel like the one gig I'll get to go to is going to be shit. You know what it's like at king's, especially if you've got uptight parents. The thing with Thursday is I need a decent amount of time to sort out going on exeat, since my new housemistress insists on it all being arranged on the wednesday before hand. Anyway, it's all a pile of shite.

Sorry man...didn't wanna offend you. Just being realistic. Astoria shows are usually about 10% as good as ones @ Underworld/Garage. You'll see...it'll be pretty dead atmospherically. Then again I'm a pedant and a perfectionist when it comes to live music for various reasons.

I just got my ticket off eBay. Thursday/Coheed and Cambria/Further Seems Forever. Not a bad bill, could do with some British bands...but three good (if unspectacular) bands.

Well apparently my friend managed to get tickets, so that's awesome for me anyway.
