Yeah, say what you want about Morello and RATM, but he shows the fuck up which is more than I can say for most rock stars. Same sort of thing when he showed up several times at various events when the Immokalee tomato pickers were trying to unionize. Saw him perform this one (when he was first starting the whole Nightwatchman thing) with Boots Riley and Perry Farrell at Coachella back in '07. Dope shit...

Yeah... I'm pretty sure he played down there at least once for a picket they held, and I know for a fact that he appeared at events at Taco Bell headquarters (the primary buyer of Immokalee's tomato crop) as well in an effort to pressure the growers. He and Zach de la Rocha both appeared at events to put pressure on McDonald's also, another major buyer. Why?

EDIT: Actually, nm... I just noticed your location. Right around the way from you, eh? I'm from Florida originally as well, up in the Panhandle though. Panama Shitty to be exact.

Hello, I don't know Tom Morello personally, but from my own perception, I think that Tom Morello and many other rock artists are indeed very humble, and wealth has not destroyed their connection and empathy for the poors. Tom Morello is real cool indeed
