If you had the opportunity to name a country, what would it be? Mine would be:
KOMSKOLZGRAD
How awesome is that Soviet-Style name?

And here I thought one of the points of socialism was the end of nation states... Shows what I know.

I don't think what I listed as a name would be considered a country.

What's this country like? What is it's history, culture, ethnic makeup? Or do we get to choose?
Personally I'm more into pan-continental economic federations, rather than countries. Below is a fictional political-economic map of the Earth circa the year 2100. Canonically speaking, this is one of the final snapshots of Earth's political makeup before the plug gets pulled on capitalism's life support machine:

It's not entirely serious. The 22nd century CSA is more of an excuse to have a schizo-tech (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SchizoTech)/steampunk (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SteamPunk) faction and poke fun at "patriotic" Southerners while doing so.

Everyone using -grad and -ville endings is thinking a bit small for the naming of a country.
