arent hills relatively new since they were eroded from greater formations or carved out by glacial movement?

arent hills relatively new since they were eroded from greater formations or carved out by glacial movement? 1) It's an expression, smartass. 2) You're right they're "relatively" new but on the scale of youtube videos they're pretty fucking old.

Small hills could have been big hills that have undergone glacial erosion.

From what little I know about the subject, it's my understanding that in a lot of cases hills start out as mountains. Take the Rocky Mountains vs the Appalachian Mountains for instance. The geologist's explanation for the difference in size and shape (the Appalachians being smaller and "rounder" to put it crudely) is that the Appalachians have had more time to erode. Thus, logically, it would seem that at least some of the time hills are the result of mountains that have eroded even further. Therefore, hills can certainly be older than mountains 'n' shit. Obviously, that's not always going to be the case as evidenced by sand dunes (which are a type of hill), because the process of forming those is a whole different kettle of fish, but anywho...
As an aside, I don't know why the fuck I just put so much effort into such a pointless post...
