Hey, as some of you may have noticed, I'm shifting things around here. I want to streamline the stickies (I already consolidated the relevant info from the Union organization and links threads).
So, I want to ask some questions.
1) I (personally) don't like the name and shame thread being stickied here, I understand that it is relevant to the lives of revleft users (I've been sacked recently to), but to me this forum should be about providing resources for people. I'd like to unsticky and leave a link to the thread in the new links/organizing sticky. Since this thread is close to some people's hearts, no doubt, I thought that I'd ask how you all felt before I went ahead.
2) I feel basically the same about the "are you a union member?" thread, and would also like to sticky it. It is a useful thread in that you can get a basic idea of how many people here participate in unions and find general "chit-chat" about the subject and people's struggles. Given that it is not explicitly a resource thread, however, I'd like to unsticky as per my vision for tidying up the place.
I am going to make some stickies, until I can get a subforum going for the current labor struggles in the US, for news and the like. This can't possibly be that controversial so I'm not really "asking" about it, just giving notice.
Also, I want some advice/proposals. This subforum is only going to heat up in the future, so please tell me how I can get it running efficiently.
