Shocking as it may seem, U.S. government doctors once thought it was fine to experiment on disabled people and prison inmates. Such experiments included giving hepatitis to mental patients in Connecticut, squirting a pandemic flu virus up the noses of prisoners in Maryland, and injecting cancer cells into chronically ill people at a New York hospital.

i know during the 1950's the CIA would give prisoners shit loads of LSD without they're knowlage to test rather it could be used as a mind control agent , also i saw a show on TV once were a British solider talked about how him and several others had been selected for a experiment that they were told was to help "cure the common cold" it was actually a test for Sarin gas and one of the soliders died because he paniced and took his helmet off and several others suffred severe health effects later in life.

You are refering to MK-ULtra (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_MKULTRA)? Not only prisoners were used.

Black people with syphilis were not given penicillin after it was accepted to be an appropriate cure because the researchers/funders/government wanted to see what the course of the disease was. The study ended in 1972.



Currently, if someone has depression and can't afford medicine, they are given the opportunity to go on clinical trials. Basically, we're testing our anti-depressants on the poor.
