There are many different trends within Trotskyism (Cliffism, Pabloism, Healyism, reformism and orthodox revolutionaries).
But can anyone tell me what is Posadism?
All I know is that it seems to be based in South America.

I personally subscribe to this blend of Trotskyism :P
Juan Posadas (an Argentian trotskyist who was in the tope echelon of the 4th international in the 1940) went crazy in the 1950's, he thought that the sightings of UFO's were proof of superior socialist technology from another planet visiting Earth.
His way to build socialism? Why advocate the complete destruction of the planet of course!
He appealed to China and the USSR in his writings to launch massive atomic weapons to reduce the Earth to ruins, from which would logically rise a socialist paradise  , I kid you not!
His bunch even staged a counter-protest type thing at a Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament rally in Argentina where they pushed their level-headed agenda of revolutionary destruction on a bunch of Hippies :)
I've fairly sure there are no true Posadists anymore.

I wonder why... maybe it has something to do with its founder being a nutjob?

There may be a few sects left about the Argentinian leftist circles, Argentina's left is notoriously fragmented and sectarian
