Covering the 1973-1977 period (Volume I, which isn't yet online, covers 1962-1972), Enver Hoxha's political journal entries note a deterioration in the relationship between the People's Republic of Albania and the People's Republic of China. As in Volume I, Hoxha criticizes the Chinese when they adopt vacillating, opportunist or quasi-cowardly policies. Unlike Volume I however, Volume II was written when relations were going steadily downwards and when apprehensions about the "Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution" and Mao's stand on various foreign issues turned into outright condemnations.
