Members of the Zimbabwe ISO have been arrested for what the US press originally reported as "Terrorists Plotting an Egypt-Style Coup". I saw that headline on CNN and even though I didn't know the full story, it sounded pretty damn fishy... "coup", "terrorists"?

Please take a few minutes and help put some international pressure on this repression by sending an email to the addresses at the bottom of the Socialist Worker article:

Release the Zimbabwean socialists (http://socialistworker.org/2011/02/23/release-zimbabwean-socialists)

But, but, I thought Mugabe was some kind of great proletarian leader

Seriously, who didn't see this coming. I'm sick of corrupt thugs rolling around in the robes of a leftist and getting endorsed by the usual crowd of "useful idiots" on the left who think any "anti-imperialist" must be some kind of hero. Look, Mugabe gave the best land to his buddies and their relatives in the government. Now he represses his opponents and terrorizes ideological enemies. This PRC-backed murderous thug has just created a new corrupt bourgeoise.
