Like many things that emerge from the official Left this is at once terrifically funny and horribly sad. These people genuinely believe that working class people will be soothed by the idea that cuts are being made by people in red rather than blue; that there can be a "cuts package from a socialist position"!
Sunny Hundal, bloke behind this blog, seems to fancy himself a key figure within the anti-cuts movement. He's involved a number of events bringing together liberal-left types to mobilise against the cuts using the internet (with support from the same company that did all that online stuff for Obama), and he's got a problem with anything the deviates slightly from very watered-down social democracy, denouncing "Trots" and anarchists while calling for "left unity".
Maybe today's Labour councillors could learn from this:

I think Ian Bone went on a radio show with this Sunny character, where Bone repeatebly denounced him as a careerist wanker, and rightly so! It was good to hear the phone in people siding with Bone, agreeing that more militant tatics should be adopted to hinder the economy.
I think a link to this can be found on Bone's blog, if anyone cares for a listen.

Sunny Hundal is a class A twat and having read a couple of his articles on the Guardian's website, an intellectual pygmy.

Regardless of whatever he fancies himself to be, it most certainly is not a "key figure within the anti-cuts movement".

Much like Aaron Porter, this twat is shamelessly using the anti-cuts movement to try and promote himself and nothing but himself. Maybe he has ambitions to become a Labour MP or yet another think tank flunkey (as if we don't have enough of them already), much like Aaron Porter.
Hopefully people in the anti-cuts movement will tell him to fuck off, much in the same manner that students did with Aaron Porter.

Oh, I wasn't implying that he has much influence at all, just that he thinks he does and he's very good as self-publicity/networking. Of course he's just using the anti-cuts movement...

Much like Obama himself then.

Hah. On his Twitter after Obama's State of Union Address he was saying that Obama was making a "centre-left speech disguised as a centrist speech" (or something like that), to trick Republicans into thinking that he's become more moderate. An intellectual pygmy indeed.
