As the tide of popular insurgence is rising all over the Islamic world it seems some tremors have happened in China.
I am not convinced that any Chinese regime is going to fall but it does suggest that ordinary Chinese people are not too happy with their conditions and the status quo in the "People's" Republic.
It will be interesting to see the reaction from the West on this one given that a lot of Western/Multinational business interests are vested in cheap Chinese labour.
I don't like revelling in the misfortune of others but I must confess it would make me laugh to see the panic stricken faces of the smartasses who impoverished a lot of Western workers so they could make a cheap profit by outsourcing to the Far East and exploiting labour there under conditions that would be illegal in the West.
Ooops... :blushing:
This of course leads me to wonder whether the US Government and its corporate friends will be calling on the Chinese government to listen to protesters etc, as in the case of the Arabic/Islamic world. I wonder this given the amount of business that could be "damaged" if a lot of Chinese workers actually got paid a decent wage....
