Could someone please explain more about this. Here are my main questions -

What areas are targetted by Indian Expansionism ? We know about Nepal, and i've heard claims that they want sri lanka, etc...

What are the forces motiving Indian expansionism ?
Does it get support from foreign imperialists ?

Speaking with very limited knowledge, this is what I would assume is true.

What areas are targetted by Indian Expansionism ? We know about Nepal, and i've heard claims that they want sri lanka, etc...Basically that and the territories that India and Pakistan hate eachother over.

What are the forces motiving Indian expansionism?
There is a bourgeois class in India that wants to use these areas for Indian markets.

Does it get support from foreign imperialists?Probably not since basically all of that area is open to foreign imperialists regardless.

The annexation of Jammu and Kashmir, the seven north eastern states and Sikkim to mainland India are due to Indian expansionism. Besides the aggressive foreign policy in Nepal and Bhutan, India has also tried to turn Sri Lanka and Bangladesh into practically satellite states.

Indian expansionism is directed by the interests by the foreign imperialist powers controlling India, and the native comprador bourgeoisie and feudal elements.

Which foreign imperialists control India?
None, India is an imperialist country in its own right.

Which foreign imperialists control India?

There are many. These divide India among themselves according to their own mutual agreements. India has been controlled mainly by British, American and Soviet imperialism throughout periods in its modern history. Presently, it is not very accurate to associate imperialist control with a single country, as MNCs tend to have ownership from several imperialist countries. But certain factors like the Bhopal disaster, the Nandigram massacre, Shatrujeet, the nuclear deal etc. indicate that the country which maintains most of the imperialist political-economic control over India as of now is the USA.

India is bad, as in its behavior with Nepal, I dont know if it is really any worse than China. Certainly the perception in India as I remembered it, especially among the upper classes, was fear of modern China and Pakistan, which Indians view as imperialistic

However, it is true that it is overbearing to its neighbors, specifically Nepal. I don't know so much about their policy towards Sri Lanka, Bhutan or Bangladesh. What i do know is that they don't want to "annex" these areas, but it does seem like they want to have substantial political and economic influence, as well as a general military security zone. Part of the problem is that India and Pakistan are both Imperialistic countries, and have and have had competing claims around the world (like Kashmir which was split, Afghanistan which Pakistan wants to monopolize, and Bangladesh which Pakistan repressed)
