The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine saluted the Palestinian youth gathering to march in Manara Square in Ramallah to celebrate the Egyptian revolution and call for Palestinian unity on Friday, February 18, 2011, and said to the masses of our Palestinian people and Arab nation, and to young people in particular, that this is the starting point for action to make history and reshape the future, saying that the new Arab era, borne of the revolution in Egypt and Tunisia and freedom fighters around the world, has no room for reluctance and fear of the Zionist entity and all of its schemes.

The Front said in its statement that today's rally was inspired by the steadfast will of the Egyptian people, the determination of the Egyptian youth, and the unity of the masses and all forces of the Egyptian people who united in the struggle of the people for victory and opened the path to restoring Egypt to its historical role as the heart of our nation. It said that the Egyptian people's revolution to restore a free, vibrant, democratic Egypt was a struggle of workers, peasants and intellectuals, expressing its salute to the youth of revolutionary Egypt, saying that their victory was for both Egyptians and Palestinians a triumphant and glorious achievement.

It is time to put hesitation behind us and reject all forms of demoralization and demand an end to the continued pointless division and rivalry that only erode and destroy the national project. It is time for us to impose our will on the division on the basis of a unified national strategy to resist the Zionist project and to reject any reliance on the proposals of the Quartet or the dictates of the U.S./Israeli coalition. It is time to say that the youth of Palestine have spoken and will continue to raise thei rvoice to confront any party that tampers with the interests of Palestine.

The blood of the martyrs has lit the flame of freedom in our homeland from the Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf. The martyrs of Egypt and Tunisia are the martyrs of Palestine, Iraq and Lebanon, the martyrs who refused submission. They strengthen our will and they achieved great change, and we hope to walk in the path of victory of Egypt, Tunisia and all the martyrs of our nation.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine condemned the wide-ranging abuse, oppression and crimes against the masses of the Arab peoples in Libya, Bahrain, Yemen and everywhere else in the Arab world, who are struggling to secure their rights and dignity against brutal reactionary regimes.

The PFLP demanded on February 20, 2011 an immediate end to the bloody and brutal repression at the hands of these regimes, and said that silence in the face of these crimes is shameful. Hundreds have been killed and thousands wounded, said the Front, appealing to all Arab and international organizations who value human rights and dignity, and all Arab and international media to act to expose the reality and disseminate important information about the crimes being committed in these Arab countries against our Arab people, and put an end to these massacres taking place hidden from Arab and international view.

The PFLP stressed that the march of freedom, dignity and justice for the peoples of the Arab nation sparked by the revolutions of Egypt and Tunisia will not be stopped by these massacres at the hands of tyrants, and that the people will go forward and achieve their goals of liberation, democracy, social justice and unity.

The PFLP is light in the darkness. I knew it was only a matter of time before their voices joined those of the pro-democracy protests :)
