I've loved this song for a while but never got the same meaning out of it that you did. Could you explain?

Never mind after reading Carl Jungs ideas and re-listening to the song I get where you're coming from

It's about the supposed addition of two extra chromosomes that would transform the human race forever (pretty sure Jung said that). 46 (standard) + 2. Although I think now we know that that just leads to horrible deformities.

And with lines like "changing is coming through my shadow" and "I want to feel the change consume me" and a bunch others, it's pretty clear what the song was about.
