Not long after I wrote an article describing the impending split between the real force behind the Egyptian revolution (the working class) and the middle-class 'democratic' youth movement, the WSJ posted a classic quote on the Google executive 'hero' of the Egyptian uprising:

"Three Facebook pages devoted to trashing Mr. Ghonim have gone online in the past few days. They have titles such as ‘Ghonim Traitor,’ and already have over 40,000 members."

Thank you. I have feared that the Egyptian people would give in to the military which retains a level of popularity among certain sectors of the Egyptian society.

That fear seems to have been misplaced, thanks to the working class which continues to prove its revolutionary potentials.
