I am currently attempting to robotrip, or rather delsym trip. Has anyone else tried this? If so what was it like for you?

I've done DXM a few times, it's not bad. You chose delsym so at least you went with the good stuff. It will probably take a little while longer, IIRC.

Depending on how much you take, you'll either feel sort of drunk or start to have more of a "trip". DXM works by sort of "shutting down" certain areas of the brain and making others work harder. It strips away any sort of cognitive information processing and your brain has to invent input because there is less/none. It also totally breaks down context and memory, so if you watch a movie you won't know what it's really about. I watched Ichi the killer and at one point I just said out loud "ahhh, I get it, they kill people in this movie. They just, like, kill eachother."


Be wary of going anywhere where you'll have to remember things or follow an urgent line of thought, so no traveling or the like.

Don't use the delsym formula shit, you won't be able to get above 1st or 2nd plateau. Use something with the hbr formula. Also, make sure the ONLY active ingredient is dextromethorphan hbr. Other active ingredients can make you sick or kill you.

Also, it is not addictive and it will not kill you. It is really really really hard to OD on dxm. It's when there are other active ingredients that you are at harm.

I think I only got to the 2nd plateau, so it was rather disappointing. I read that using the 12-hour stuff you don't get really anywhere. That was what I had laying about, so it was what I used, thus disappointment. I'll try again next week I think.

I use to experiment with DXM extensively and I can tell you it's fun, but it has consequences. I used to do 3 bottles of the dry pills at a time, 900ml, and used to trip hard. There was a point in my life where I thought I wasn't real and contemplated suicide and I know a girl who is hopelessly addicted to it.

I say if you like it all power to you, but beware there are consequences.

Yeah, I think the issue is you used the delsym formula. That shit will give some of the more mild effects, but even a couple bottles won't get you anywhere interesting. Definitely try to find some hbr stuff. Also, this may help when planning your dose. I recommend avoiding 4th plateau until you have some more experience with dxm. I hit 4th plateau my first time. I was completely terrified and thought I was going insane.

FYI, the delsym formula stuff contains Dextromethorphan Polistirex. The stuff you want is Dextromethorphan Hybromide.

Delsym can be pretty strong, it just takes longer to take effect. I think the difference is Delysm is somethinsomethin polystrex whereas the other shit is some other ending.


Protip: in the future you can zap delsym in the micro for a very short period of time which somehow converts it from the polystrex to the shit you want.

lol, I've taken a gram+ of dyphon on two separate occasions, those are the only two ever. I'm not trying to brag, at all, because it's all down to biology I suppose, but that is a metric fuckton. The first time was spaced out though, and almost nothing happened to me (first dose was like 600mg, follow up was the same), except cigs were really fun to smoke. That prompted me to see if I could get some kind of experience out of it (because there are few drugs I don't want to at least experience one).


I took a gram at once, and FUUUUCK man. Don't do that. If I knew now I would have added it to my short list of "don'ts". I mean, it was hilarious to hear what my friend told me happened that night after the fact, but not worth it (mainly because it kept going through the next day until around 1, and I was literally talking to myself at work stacking vegetables while I thought my friend was riding a tricycle next to me down the aisle). Shit was reaaaally weird.


Apparently though, the night before I was absolutely certain I saw a raccoon voguing in a shop window.

I've never robotripped but that probably was because I knew a bunch of hippies and ravers when I was younger, hence a ready availability of the real stuff: acid. I can say from experience that it's the same way, though. Interesting times were had when I must have drank 18 - 20 Miller High Life while on red geltabs... It got really weird around 6 - 7 hours into my trip when I started coming down and couldn't tell whether I was drunk or tripping.

:confused: really? i took 6 Benadryls and the only effect i got was i found staring at lights to be somewhat enjoyable , so the next time i took 15 and that time i got quite a few audio hallucinations but only 2 visual ones.
