I've been an outstanding college student and I've been a horrible college student. I want to get my two year wrapped up in three semesters if possible and then travel. The last college experience I had was when I was houseless and using a friends mailing address

I think I could travel now- I would have no anxiety over suddenly being houseless and a year from now ending up in say, Peru or perhaps Detroit, MI. (with bestmod in a record store pushing dubstep on unsuspecting patrons)

I think I'm going to do this~

I know you didn't ask me--but I think you are on the cusp of somethiong interesting. It looks like you made the decision to change things in the direction you want, now all you have to figure out what direction that is.

Maybe you should make a list of all the things you want to do or would like to do and and then go down item by item and figure out if you really care about each thing so much that you will dedicate a signifigant portion of your life to making that thing work.

Get it down to a couple and then see what you have the best chance of succeeding in. Personally I think there is a lot that you can accomplish. Good luck.

so, im on this thing called protocol duty, where VIPs like colonels, or senators or what have you come to the base and we drive them around and make small talk, since thats all LT's are good for.

anyway its not til 1230 so im like hell yeah come in to work for a halfday. NOT SO. my executive officer calls me in yesterday night, i have to come in before 9 so i can sign these SUPER MEGA IMPORTANT forms that have been sitting idly on his desk for months, but are due tomorrow.

so im like fux, okay. i show up at 830 in the morning, and hes not there. hes not there at 9, or 930, or even ten. he had to go to court. and didnt tell me. so i wasted my morning.

one of my privates missed a dental appointment, and since our dentists are private practitioners, THIS IS A MEGA BIG DEAL APPARANTLY, and i got yelled at for it.

then some idiot soldiers went out into the desert in a training scenario with no water source. i got yelled at for this.

then this legal investigation i had to do in regards to a lost item some dude had, had one single form wrong so it all got kicked back and i had to retype it all and couldnt find a printer for an hour. such a petty circumstance enrraaaaged me.

then i had my protocol duty, i was supposed to be there at 1215. i show up. my driver isnt there. nobody is tracking theres a mission going on. we cant find the driver. someone else signed him out a vehicle, and hes at the pick up location. i grab a van and drive down there quickly. hes sitting there. i link up with him, and then go to the front desk of the building to inquire about the colonel. theres no colonel here, im told. we sit in the car for 20 more minutes, and then get a call saying mr important colonel wandered off to do something else and to return to base.

i return to a super mega pissed off captain screaming at me WHERES YOUR DRIVER WHY WERE YOU SO FUCKING LATE YOURE AN OFFICER FOR GODS SAKE YOURE SUPPOSED TO SOLVE PROBLEMS YOU ARE INCOMPETENT.

i just shut up and take it on the chin, i dont mention my driver didnt link up with me nor were his staff tracking i even had to be there today. so, yes, in a way my fault i suppose mainly for not getting my drivers contact info, but i figured i took care of the issue.

so i left work and shammed out the rest of the day and played Hearts of Iron 2 on the computer.

i basically play civ5, HOI2, Victoria, and occasionally age of empires 3. though im not particularly good at any game. oh and starcraft 2 when i really want to watch my base be obliterated.

danyboy do you have HOI2 armageddon or any of the add-ons? i tried HOI3 but it just rapes my computer and i dont see why i need it to look super realistic, hoi2 is the perfect asthetic for me.

I need to quit smoking, but I want to go buy a pack right now- I should buy coffee too as I need to stay up all night because my work schedule changed- what do I do

an interesting position- as you can tell I've made my mind up to continue smoking but I'm in a position where I'm procrastinating about quitting smoking and simultaneously procrastinating about going out to buy cigarettes.

The idea of trolling l4d2 has given me the urge to go buy a pack. This is a really good idea. If my car doesn't start I will forever quit smoking.

The same things start to happen when I try to quit, I found half a pack last time I had made my mind up to do it. They were ridiculously stale smokes but they smoked none the less. In NY smokes are $10/pack, or $7/pack on military bases. Having just lived a year in south carolina, where smoking is pretty much force fed on people from a young age, the change in price and culture has definitely led to me cutting back to about a pack a week.

Hey Bud Struggle, I gave Steel Reserve another try. I'm drinking 40ozs (which you should start doing too if you want to keep up with us lefties) Steel Reserve '211' High Gravity 8.1% Lager Slow Brewed For Exceptionally Smooth Flavor Extra Malted Barley a Select Hops for EXTRA Gravity (entirely bullshit to the core). It isn't that bad- it's what was available at the time of purchase and I'm really drunk right now. I also have a sixpack awaiting because some evenings 'really drunk' isn't quite drunk enough. I think the the three 40ozers my friend and I drank were skunked and the other two times it was either stale (refrig offer by friend) or skunked as well.

It's still not my top choice btw
