Has anyone here successfully used the internet to make money, where and how?

Usually, internet money making "schemes" deal with network marketing. It deals with trying to have the biggest mailing list and sending out a program so that soo many people sign up and collect you some money. I have never used the internet, but I did do some insurance network marketing, shit failed horrifically.

You could start a dropshipping business, which basically means that you take the orders and forward them on to the warehouse that holds the products for you. This gives you the smallest amount of capital investment as well as the fact that you don't have to deal with purchasing, storing or shipping the products, but it is also extremely difficult to expand and will start with razor thin profit margins.

If you have graphic design/web design skills you could start a freelance business but those markets are saturated with cheap labor (on the development side) so you really have to provide a unique service and work hard for the first couple months before you see any money coming in.

You could buy a barcode scanner and sell books on Amazon. Basically you'd just go to used bookstores, scan in the barcodes and the scanning software tells you how much it's going for on Amazon. Find them cheaper and sell them on Amazon. You'll have to spend most of your time in used bookstores, though, and the problem with this business is that it isn't really expandable (you can only process so many orders at once and can't really hire someone else to do it for you).

You could sell stuff on eBay but they have a ton of fees and it's really annoying to sustain. I made $3,000 on eBay in the past 3 months but that was just stuff I already owned. It's certainly possible but it would probably suck to do full time.

If you develop a gimmick that people find entertaining or useful that is your best shot at making a lot of money doing a minimal amount of work.

Sell stuff on eBay, or buy stuff on eBay and sell it on at a slight profit.
