i shall be pondering the monstrosity of love and trying to justify my imperishable solitude.
I am writing on your arm and putting stickers on your face.
Tying ribbons around your ankles and putting flowers on your tummy.
I will decorate you all over until you are a monster
and I can finally forget about your quivering naked flesh.

I'm not doing anything. I never do. I don't really like the commercial tackiness of everything about it. Also, if I'm with someone I try to do nice things anyway, on days when places to eat aren't packed and overpriced.

Well nothing till late at night, which involves picking up my best friend from Tampa and bringing her up here to say the night for our planned activities Tuesday morning/afternoon.
Talking to her about her new boyfriend (of which she tells me a lot, as I don't like him and she is determined to change that) made me realize how terribly unromantic I've become. She was showing me his 'adorable' text messages to her and I was like 'so what'.
Which actually could be a really bad thing if i'm that rusty romantically speaking, cause I met a really amazing cute girl Saturday night at a mutual friend of our's party, we hung out the whole party pretty much and then i took her home as her ride (our mutual friend) got completely wasted. Night ended well I think.
So yeah, I liked her a lot, so I might actually try for once. So if anything does come of it, I think the whole meeting pretty much on Valentines Day Eve (as she called it) would make amazing foreshadowing.

Some girl told me all this crap about her and her ex boyfriend and how he doesn't treat her for her, for her "personality." Then she invited me out to be her "valentines", and I said I had made prior arrangements with friends, but then changed my mind to ok, then she said NVM.... then she changed her mind and asked if she could spend the night at my house, I said no. Then she asked for me to pay for a room, I said no. Then she said nvm again...
Usually I would just do it, and fuck, but what a fucking tool. Makes me think this world is just full of fuckin stupids.

Valentine's Day is a capitalistic social construct. As I understand VD's modern incarnation was deliberately designed by the founder of Hallmark Cards as a gimmick to sell greeting cards. Before that it was a somewhat obscure church holiday commerating an early Christian matyr and before that it was a Roman pagan holiday.Wether I'm in a relationship or not, VD has as much meaning for me as St. Crispin's Day (I wouldn't even heard of it if not for Shakespeare) or St. Swithin's Day (which I wouldn't have heard of either except for BBC sitcoms). While I'm at it, even Guy Fawke's Day is funkier. Art least you get to burn someone in effigy and now, with Anonymous it has a leftist connotation.
VD seems almost designed to make people who aren't in a relationship but wish they were depressed, all for corporate profits.I would completely ignore VD, except for the fact that it means something for some family members, so I buy my Mom some candy, etc.
International Women's Day is far healthier, I think.

Important holidays
4 July-US Revolution, despite its vast distortions, still significant. Lets hope the second one comes within our lifetime.
17 July Bastille Day French Revolution. The French working class is still at it, two centuries later.
8 March International Women's Day
25 December or thereabouts Yuletide cool pagan holiday hijacked by Christianity. Can represent hope for the future, togetherness and common struggle.

already kinda has If it has with International Women's Day and Bastille Day it's done so quite badly since both days have passed me by without any kind of significance year after year. Hell the only reason I'm even aware the 4th of July has any significance is that the international nature of the internet means I know that it's important to (a certain flavour of) yanks.

With America's history of anti-communism I imagine leftists could have a lot of juvenile fun putting up USSR, NK or Cuba flags on independence day.

Hang out and watch fireworks? How about the 4th of July is awesome because it's one of only two days of the year the pigs turn the other cheek while I drink beer and blow shit up in the middle of the street. I couldn't give a flying fuck about the nationalist aspects either, though.

I am one of the resident of Jersey Shore and I live in Atlantic City(There is tons of $650/m apartments here.), but I do not live the lifestyle like the one on MTV's "Jersey Shore."
Just find a full-time job and a full-time job roommate in a cheap aprtment, your lifestyle will be awesome. You also do not need to worry about car at all, unless you live at inland.

Nope, but they do come here sometimes as special guests or something like that for a special nightclub party, but I am not concerned about them at all nor have a desire to see them. We are having Lady GaGa at Saturday night, but I have no money to buy ticket.
