Beat me to the punch. I was actually watching Glenn Beck today for my dose of comedy and I saw this. First he started out neutrally. Is the a 1776 revolution? No, of course its not he attacked the revolution as wanting to create chaos. Its interesting, because he attacks Obama as being a big government dictator, but he defends Mumbarack, who I assure you has more control over his people. But double standards are fun. Then of course Glenn started talking about scary things socialism/communism/extreme Islam. What's even scarier is having them all together. Just imagine an Islamic Caliphate ruling over the Western world... Are you imagining it yet? Now add a ton of red flags, Soviet tanks and statues of communist revolutionaries. Now a person who doesn't understand much about socialism/communism or Islam living in America is not a slave to Glenn Beck's fear mongering. But wait. Glenn Beck doesn't care about taking out communists/Islamists. In fact I'm fairly sure he realizes that as of right now they aren't a big threat to the neoliberal agenda. But of course his biggest neoliberal competitors are the Democrats. If only there were a way to connect them to this Caliphate-Communist conspiracy to rule the world through the NWO. Ahh! Community organizers, see they are the ones who organized this revolt. Community organizers--- (You mean like acorn?) And wasn't Obama a community organizer. Community sounds a lot like communism so therefore a community organizer is actually a communist organizer. Now its all coming together for the coup d'grace. You see Glenn Beck works for Fox, which is partly owned by a Saudi prince whose family implements Sharia law. That's the Islam part.
Saudi Arabia has welafre, therefore it is social-democratic, and as Glenn said himself social-democrats is what Putin and the whole socialist crew called themselves after the Soviet downfall. So therefore Glenn Beck is a communist.

I think this is what Foucault and Said were ultimately getting at in their writing, particularly Said in Orientalism, is that true power, in a sense, is the ability to enforce your own narrative and the power to make your voice heard. Ideas about what ideology is best, about whether a given culture is inferior or backwards, the necessity of an imperial nation to exert control over said cultures, all of these are things which aren't universally held to be true by any sense of things, but with power, you can force them to be accepted until they become conditioned.
